The pristine beauty of the Big Thicket National Forest in East Texas, once over three million acres, now reduced to about 84,000 acres, but nevertheless, a refuge for wildlife . . .

A mother bear teaches her whelps to fish. The young foxes learn to hunt rabbits.

Red Riding Hood converses with a loudmouthed wolf, while a baby mountain lion hunts in the rocks, and some wild ducks gather among the rushes.

Deer take advantage of the hay provided by the park ranger, and an eagle solemnly watches from the treetop . . .

. . . while Dave faithfully does his job for Idaho Timber in this old-growth forest.
